Monday Morning Wrap Up

July 14, 2025 by Courtney 3 Comments

I woke up this morning realizing my son only has three more weeks of summer. How is that even possible? It has flown by. I am in denial with it being his senior year. I feel like we were just here with Riley. In any event, here is a slice of what we’ve been up to with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.

TENNESSEE MAGIC

tennessee

I love Tennessee. It’s these pretty farms and open land that get me every time.

TECOVAS DOWNTOWN

tecovas

If you are local or visiting, the Tecovas store opened up in Downtown Franklin and it’s beautiful. They are in the old historic bank building and it’s incredible. The smell alone gets me every time. Worth a peek if you haven’t checked it out yet.

A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

etch

We were in California for my actual birthday so my husband planned a fun night out with local friends to celebrate once we got back. I had no idea that Etch had a private room. It’s a wonderful spot to gather with friends. Small enough that it feels intimate but so lovely. And completely sound proof from the rest of the restaurant. Which is a very good thing because I think we laughed at a ridiculous volume for hours. The food is wonderful and the company was even better. Very grateful for the framily we have here.

CUTE ANTHRO FINDS

anthro dress

Ducked into Anthro this weekend and this white dress caught my eye. Would be beautiful with a pair of boots. So feminine and pretty. And lovelier in person than the photos online.

This dress is gorgeous. I love Reformation. Always great quality and a pretty fit.

This denim dress has a ruffle and is also really pretty (Riley loves this one).

GAME NIGHT IN

game night

We had a house full of our daughter’s friends Saturday night so once Sunday rolled around we were ready for a mellow evening. Game night in is always fun. Whether with friends or just the two of us, we love a great game night. We recently played this game with a group of friends and loved it.

SUMMER GO-TO

fruit salad

Grilled chicken with fresh fruit is a go to over here. Peaches, strawberries and basil drizzled with balsamic is a go-to for us. I can’t get enough of the Peach Truck peaches during this time of the year. If anyone has a good peach cobbler recipe, please send it my way. Craving something like that.

FIVE STARS

boots

I was so thrilled when these boots arrived. They are a part of the Nordstrom sale and SO GOOD. The color is beautiful, they smell amazing and they are just so darn cute. I love them (true to size).

If you are shopping the Nordstrom sale, I covered a lot of it in this week’s Saturday Shopping post. I was very particular with what I purchased this year. I’m in a less is more vibe right now.

*My complete Nordstrom post can be found here.

DORM MUST HAVE

Just a heads up . . .this was great on Riley’s dorm bed. It was part of Prime Day and I just noticed it is still on sale. If you are wanting to pick one up for anyone headed off to school, now is the time.

CRAVING A GETAWAY?

beach days

We just had the loveliest family check into our 30A place for the week. We feel so fortunate to have the best community and love sharing this place with you. If you are interested (August still has openings) in booking your fall trip, it’s best to do it now. And please reach out if you do book so I can share favorites with you. Happy to do that.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. I’m now in a small panic about senior year starting so soon and feel a mix of wanting to get my ducks in a row and go out and savor every second of summer. Anyone else in the same boat?

This peach cobbler recipe is DELICIOUS! And super simple. My husband isn’t even a dessert guy and raves about it! 🙂 https://www.pineandprospecthome.com/my-moms-sweet-and-easy-peach-cobbler-recipe/

My twin sons are also starting senior year in the fall. I’m stressing over college visits….did you and your son go on any this summer? How many? Their school year only ended on June 17th and then had wisdom teeth removal. They don’t go back until first week of September but I’m still nervous that we haven’t gone to any colleges yet.

Hi there! You influenced me to get the mattress topper for my daughter’s dorm during the Prime sale (thank you). Wondering if you use a mattress cover over that or if it’s too bulky/not necessary? Odd question, but figured you’d know the scoop. Thank you!!
