Monday Morning Wrap Up

August 4, 2025 by Courtney 3 Comments

Well, good morning. My heart is a bit tender as my son officially started senior year this morning. I honestly can’t believe it. I spent the majority of the morning looking through old photos and tearing up. It’s just all gone by far too quickly. If you have a kiddo starting today, I hope it’s a wonderful day to kick off the year. In happier news, we are sharing life lately with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.

A SPECIAL SPOT

Landmark Booksellers is a gem in downtown Franklin. It’s a must if you are in the area. I could get lost in here for hours. Truly a special place.

Have you read any of the Karen Kingsbury books? I haven’t yet and am so excited to dive in. This one was inspired by the Landmark Booksellers store in Franklin. It was turned into a movie as well. Let me know if you’ve read it. I also picked up Remarkably Bright Creatures which I’ve heard wonderful things about.

PIZZA CRAVING

pizza

I don’t think I’ve had pizza in over a year. As a girl who is trying to be gluten and dairy free it doesn’t exactly fit with that. But both my husband and I were craving it so we went to Culaccino in Dowtown Franklin. They make their pasta in house and they use pizza dough that has fermented for 72 hours (so much better for your gut). If you are local, it’s so good!! Pizza and wandering through the stores in Franklin made for a great date night.

ONE ON ONE TIME

mon amie

Enjoyed meeting up with a friend for coffee. We are in bible study together but it was really nice to spend some one on one time together. Mon Amie in Nolensville is a darling spot. These lights would be so pretty above an island.

GO-TO BANANA BREAD

banana bread

We have new neighbors so I made my favorite banana chocolate chip bread. This is the recipe that I use. So yummy. When gifting this, I wrap the bread in parchment paper and tie it up with twine.

NINJA CREAMI FAVORITE

banana ice cream

Lately we’ve been using the Ninja Creami a ton. This is my son’s favorite flavor. Packed with protein and so yummy.

WELL DONE, WALMART

I couldn’t believe this chair. It literally stopped me in my tracks. The caning is beautiful (and a pretty color) and the wood tone is ideal. I also really like the upholstery color . . .a lovely oatmeal color. Such a great chair. I wish I had a place for this in my home.

walmart lamp

Spotted this lamp at Walmart and brought it home with me. We will use this on Riley’s desk this coming school year.

PRETTY HOME FINDS

  • coffee table books
  • floral pillow covers – look high end
  • matching lamps – love these
  • marble dish
  • coasters
  • kleenex cover
  • bathroom bottles
  • chenille pillow covers
  • cordless lamp – have this and love
  • gallery wall frames – a great price
  • cordless sconces – can be hung anywhere

With my son at school and my daughter at work, the house is feeling awfully quiet. Off to the store to grab everything we need for the rainbow cake. This is year 15 of making it . . . time really does fly.

Make it a great Monday, my friend.

The Amazon links are not working for me. They are bringing up the Walmart lamp. I’d love to check out a couple of the Amazon items.

Amy, thank you so much for letting me know. Not sure how that happened but they are all fixed now. Have a great day!

My boy is about to start his senior year also. He’s my oldest, and I’m surprised by how emotional I am about it. Here’s to both of us trying to hold it together ❤️
