Good morning. I would be lying if I said I had a pep in my step today. I’m feeling tired after the long holiday weekend and worrying about my girl getting back to school amidst snow storms and flight delays. Stress will take it out of you! But so happy to be heading into December with all of you. Do you remember me mentioning I chose the word “cozy” for the month? I want to focus on creating joyful moments focused on family and friends. Trying to be very intentional so as not to focus on things that don’t matter. Here is a recap with our Monday Morning Wrap Up.
FRIENDSGIVING
The best part about last week was having Riley home. She had school for most of the week so it was brief but wonderful. And seeing these girls back together was so special. I think it’s their fourth annual friendsgiving. I love seeing them carry on the tradition. And a loud home filled with giggles and laughter is THE BEST.
Our Thanksgiving was so much fun. We have spent the last four years celebrating with friends that have become family. We ate well and played games . . .in fact my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard. We failed to get a family photo but it was a fantastic day. The next night we hit up Downtown Franklin. It’s my favorite place this time of year. Everything about it is so charming. We even met a lovely gentleman who has had a storefront for over 30 years. I love the history and the small town feel.
If you are ever this way, be sure to see what is playing at the Franklin Theater. It’s a gem and a great place to see a movie or concert.
I shared more of our Christmas kitchen on Instagram. Added greenery and velvet bows throughout the space. Simple but it feels so festive. These pendant lights are currently on sale.
We wrapped the holiday weekend at a local spot we love. All while tracking our daughter as she navigated O’Hare airport during the crazy winter storm. I know travel was so difficult for so many these past few days. I hope all of you and your loved ones made it safely. Be careful out there. The temps have certainly dropped and winter is here.
