Good morning! We are counting down the days until Riley is home. Four more to be exact. I can hardly wait to have the house full again. This past week was a full one. Sharing snippets with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.
GOD’S ARTWORK

The sunsets lately have been out of this world. Just so pretty. My dad would always text me when he saw a beautiful sunset. I would do the same. A simple text that read, “Sunset!” We would both run out to look and I took comfort knowing we were both looking up at the same beautiful sky. I know he sees it from a different vantage point but I like to think we are both still looking at the same sky.
DRIED ORANGES

I made a couple batches of dried oranges to use around the house. I love decorating with them and tying them on packages.
- preheat oven to 170°
- slice oranges 1/4″ thick
- place on a cooling rack on a baking sheet
- flip every 30 minutes
- turn up the oven 10° every hour
- continue to flip every 30 minutes for 3 hours
*Just watch that they don’t turn brown. I remove them when they are still orange. Let them continue to dry on the counter overnight. Then use for anything!
SHOPPING ON MAIN

Met up with dear friends to do some shopping on Main street in Franklin. Luckily it was very productive and so much fun. And Santa was the icing on the cake!
HOUSE OF SPIRITS

House of Spirits is looking so fun for the holiday season. Such a warm an inviting spot.
YUMMY FRENCH TOAST

We tried a new recipe this week. It was yummy! I used coconut milk and it tasted great.

I simmered frozen raspberries for about 30 minutes on low. No need to add sugar. The warm berries are so delicious on top of the french toast. This is the recipe I used. You make it the night before and pop it in the oven the next morning. A reader said she loves this recipe.
BACK TO MY ROOTS

Headed back to my roots and went much darker. Feels good. . . although I will regret it in two weeks when my gray hair is shining through. Anyone else more gray by the day?
QUALITY TIME

Despite being busy this season, I am saying yes to one on one time with friends. It fills my soul. One hour of quality time is so special and worth fitting in. Highly recommend.
CHRISTMAS BASEMENT

Our basement is Christmas ready. We’ve been spending more and more time down here and I’m so thankful for the space. This tree was my favorite holiday purchase this year. It’s brought so much joy.
Off to enjoy a beautiful Christmas brunch with my bible study group. So thankful for these woman and time to connect despite the hectic holiday season. I hope you can find some moments to slow down this week.
