Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was a blur in the best way possible. We had friends in town which made it feel so special. Sharing a recap with our Monday Morning Wrap Up. Grab a cup of hot tea or coffee and let’s get to it.
TRULY STUNNING
As you know, Riley is at the University of Notre Dame and just last week over 2000 students gathered for mass around this beautiful ice chapel. It was created by two students who worked tirelessly to engineer and build it. You should see the inside! Incredible. I love how the university honored this stunning creation by saying mass and letting the kids enjoy this beautiful, albeit freezing, moment together.
BRING ON THE SLUMBER PARTY
The friends that came this weekend have three children so we stacked a couple of twin mattresses to create this slumber party space. I knew we should hang onto those extra mattresses ;). This room is right off of our basement space and has been really great for when we host out of town guests. I go back on forth about swapping the twins or for a king. If you have any thoughts on that let me know.
THE DETAILS
When we host, I always make sure the guest bathrooms have fresh flowers and a basket of wash cloths (and makeup cloths). These are the plush towels we love and use ourselves. I love the almond color (much easier to stay looking nice than white towels). The makeup cloths are key for keeping your other towels from discoloring. A set is now on sale for around $7! So worth it. The mint julep cup is a pretty way to add a fresh set of flowers to a small space (now on sale).

HAPPY HEART
We have been friends for over 12 years. We met when our kids were in first grade and we were room moms together. There is nothing like a friendship where you pick up right where you left off. And you always get to the good stuff right away. This was a last minute trip to Nashville for them and we couldn’t be happier to spend time together. I just wish it could have been longer.
SUNDAY BRUNCH
Sunday brunch together was so nice. I wanted to bottle up the time we had around the table. The gardenia napkin rings were my moms and I just love using them.
A NEW RECIPE
You have to try this french toast casserole recipe. I have tried a handful and never loved any of them. My dear friend passed this along to me and it’s a 10/10. It is remarkably easy and sooooo delicious. Everyone had seconds along with the egg casserole that is always a hit. I served both of these with mixed berries. The great thing is that you prep both of these dishes the day before and just have to pop them in the oven in the morning. Put on the coffee and you are good to go!
A TOUCH OF SPRING
Just a heads up that Michael’s has these really pretty pink wreaths. They look great on our front door. I spotted them online and ordered them and my son picked them up for me.
A rough photo because the sun was blaring down but I wanted you to see the wreath on the door. It looks really cute with the bougainvillea trees we have. They are currently on sale for a great price.
And looking at this picture, it’s clear it’s time to refresh my doors. This works wonders and brings the beauty back. The best $10 ever!
BACK TO MY ROOTS
Each time I get my hair done I go darker and darker. It just feels right for right now and I’m loving that it’s my natural root color. My adorable hair stylist commented on how thick my hair felt and how much new growth I have. I just about fell out of my chair because she knows the journey. She was shocked with the hair loss and is surprised and how different it looks an feels already. I switched out my shampoo for this one and this detox oil. I think they have transformed my scalp health which in turn creates more hair growth and far less shedding.
*If you are just starting out this set is what I used. It lasts forever. Then I started buying the shampoo on it’s own. Hope that is helpful.

As a guest, two twin beds wouldn’t bother me at all. It gives you more flexibility when hosting families.
Thanks for the shampoo recommendation. What are you liking for a conditioner? I always feel like I HAVE to have the matching shampoo and conditioner for them to work optimally…but I know that’s not true. 🙂
