I’ll be anxious to see if any of you try the recipe from yesterday. Keep my posted on whether you enjoyed it and if you made any changes. I figure we are all in this together. Today my sweet husband is making an appearance as Nordstrom invited us to take a look men’s winter coats.
So here is the deal. My husband is not a clothes man. He loathes shopping and sticks to t-shirts and shorts. For as long as I have known him, he has owned a suit, a wool coat and a handful of dress shirts. That is his wardrobe. His mom will even back me up on this. Business requires him to meet with people on a daily basis. For casual business meetings, he can’t exactly show up in a tattered college sweatshirt (one he proudly wears around the house!). He still needs to look professional and put together so a pea coat is ideal for this time of year. This is the first quality coat he has purchased since 2002. No joke. It was time.
My husband has a very broad build. I have mentioned this before. He had to have his last coat tailored. The problem with most coats is that when you go up in size to fit the broad build, they also go up in boxiness. This one is trim fit which is ideal for him and 33% off. Having a great fitting coat is like a well tailored suit. He loves the fit. I do, too!

So thankful to have this man next to me for the rest of my life. And I am trying to convince him to write a DIY tutorial for the desk he made during the One Room Challenge because I haven’t a clue where to begin. I bought my reversible plaid cape last year and now they offer it in a blanket scarf style. Very soft and cozy. The white henley is a good staple piece.

One more photo because I think this guy is pretty darn cute. And such a great sport for taking part in this post. I owe you, honey. We both really love that gingham button down (included it in a recent gift guide). It’s also trim fit which he has been so happy to have discovered. Finding a trim fit coat was the icing on the cake. Below I have rounded up some more sweaters and shirts that have great style. I really love this button down and it is trim fit, as well. Great contrasting sleeves which makes it more stylish.

And below are some great cold weather items for under $25. And ladies, I often shop the men’s scraves because they have the best plaid designs.

And with Christmas just around the corner, you can see my shopping guides here. Enjoy the day all. I am off to grab some paint for one more DIY project (we can’t seem to quit) and begin my grocery shopping for hosting on Thursday. I tend to be last minute so going a couple days ahead of time is huge for me. Have you hit up the store yet?
Proud to work in partnership with Nordstrom and my handsome husband on this post. Affiliate links used.

My husband is not a clothes man either. And he wears the same shirt or sweater or pants over and over again until I start nagging. LOL. I like that dress shirt a lot. I think my husband would like it too. 🙂

Yes. It’s pretty much the last thing on his mind! I guess we would be in trouble if we both had a thing for clothes! Hope your try that shirt. It’s such a great fit. Happy Thanksgiving, Lynndee.

You two are the cutest couple ever. The love and respect you have for one another really shines through in your posts and your photos. Really nice looking coat on your husband. Love the classic style.
