Good morning. I sit outside every morning and it was really nice to feel a chill in the air. I think our heat is rolling back in so I’ll enjoy this breeze while I can. Do you have fall weather where you are? I’m still battling my back pain so moving slowly this morning but feeling hopeful. Here is a recap of a very quiet week.
EASY SALAD ON REPEAT
If you haven’t tried this, it’s worth giving it a chance. With my back pain I have not wanted to be spending very long in the kitchen. This is all from Trader Joe’s. I buy the frozen shrimp (already cooked) and the Lemon Arugula Salad. It’s so yummy. I also add avocado. After defrosting the shrimp I sauté it on VERY low in a bit of butter and minced garlic. Because it’s already cooked you want to be sure it’s barely warming it up. It gives it great flavor and then I toss it all together. Really yummy (and a lifesaver for busy nights).
WALLPAPER SAMPLES
We are one step closer to moving forward with our laundry room! The beautiful samples from Wildcomb Designs arrived. They are all so pretty. I definitely have a favorite and will be placing my order today. Stay tuned!
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS?
I am so excited about this! I don’t have one (it’s pricey) but am over the moon to see a clean brew coffee maker. If you go down that path, it’s extremely difficult to find one that doesn’t use plastic. My friends and I have tried and the options are quite limited. This uses stainless steel and glass in the brewing process keeping the coffee as clean as possible. I might be asking Santa for this.
*This is another option but I’m not loving the design of it.
SWEET LITTLE LAMP
In decor new, this sweet little lamp looks so cute on a shelf. Also fun to stack on a couple of cookbooks in the kitchen. It is very charming with three light levels and warm light.
DATE NIGHT
We enjoyed a date night watching college football and catching up with friends. Always nice to get out and about, especially with the beautiful weather. We met some new people that asked how old our children are. There is something entirely crazy about saying they are 18 and 20! Especially since many of you started visiting the blog when they were 3 and 5.

These fall pillow covers are so good. Prettier in person (my iPhone camera is terrible) and you can’t beat the price. I bought two 22″ covers for $25! Mine are the Vintage Walnut color (very warm for fall).

FALL ON 30A
I just told Ryan that I am really craving beach time. There is something about the 30A area that allows me to totally and completely decompress. And fall is our favorite time there. Such a great girls trip spot, too. If you ever book a trip be sure to email me so I can send you our favorite spots.
Keeping it short and sweet today as I am off to bible study. I hope your week starts off productive and peaceful.
